Abstracts for Oral and/or Poster Communications
The overall theme of this year’s PhD Day is focused on Scientific Career and on the challenges, strategies, and opportunities associated with it. In this context, we encourage you to reflect on how your research contributes to your development as a scientist and to the broader scientific community. Try to answer questions such as: Why is your research interesting and important in the context of a scientific career? How can your work be applied in real-world scenarios? What problems might your research help solve, and what opportunities can it create — both scientifically and professionally?
Oral and/or Poster Presentation
The communication form is free but should focus on “delivering the overall message” rather than giving lengthy details on a specific topic. You can choose to focus on a method or the conclusion of your research. This year, the challenge is to simplify and communicate your topic, so, the PhD students are invited to submit an abstract for an oral communication through a Flash talk (8-10 minutes maximum) or/and a poster communication through a Pitch (3-5 minutes maximum).

Poster Submission Rules – PhD Day 2025:
After receiving the email accepting their abstract, authors must submit their poster by October 5th 2025, at 23h59, to the following email address: phd.day.iucs.2025@gmail.com.
To ensure uniformity and quality in the presentation, we ask that you comply with the following technical standards:
• Images must be in .JPG format, with a size of 1080 × 1920 px and a resolution equal to or less than 4K;
• Posters must be sent in .PDF format, also respecting the dimensions of 1080 × 1920 px;
• The final file should not exceed 3 MB, in order to ensure fast and efficient uploading.
